As the Republican primaries start to heat up, news comes today of Michelle Obama joining Twitter. Currently sitting at over 160,000 followers she quickly is climbing the ranks of political figures on Twitter. Wondering who is in the lead? - Barack Obama – 11,874,433 followers – No surprise here as the president of the United States leads the pack.
- Al Gore – 2,335,931 followers – Former VP to Bill Clinton. Would you guess Mr. Gore would be this high?
- Arnold Schwarzenegger – 2,229,834 followers – Former Governor of California and actor in numerous films comes in third on the list.
- John McCain – 1,741,786 followers – U.S. Senator and former presidential candidate John McCain is the second Republican in a row to make this list and evens it out.
